Pitch Perfect and Boost European Bioeconomy

On Monday, September 25, 2023, Mycosortia participated in the “Pitch Perfect and Boost European Bioeconomy” event, a dynamic cross-border pitching, matchmaking, and networking event. This event was organized by Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant and co-organized by Bioeconomy Ventures, Pilots4U, The ProteInn Club, Bio Base Connect, Planet B.io @ Biotech Campus Delft, Bionanopolys, ShapingBio, WASTE2FUNC Project, and Tech4Biowaste.

The conference revolved around groundbreaking innovations in industrial biotechnology, encompassing biobased chemicals, materials, fuels, and decarbonization. Additionally, it touched upon the exciting realm of alternative proteins, with precision fermentation emerging as a prominent theme.

What truly impressed us was the thriving European bioeconomy ecosystem. Here, startups not only have access to European grant support but also receive invaluable support for scaling up their operations from various organizations, including Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant, Pilots4U, The ProteInn Club, Bio Base Connect, and Planet B.io.

Mycosortia had the opportunity to pitch our innovative food side-stream biotransformation technology to European bioeconomy stakeholders and investors. We take pride in being among the startups leveraging fermentation to address food waste challenges, contributing to both the circular economy and providing clean-label ingredients to the food industry.

Currently, we are in the market entry and upscaling phase, with plans to launch a product. We engaged with numerous interested investors who provided positive feedback, and we aspire to make a meaningful contribution to Europe’s biobased economy in the near future. Feel free to contact us at contact@mycosortia.com if you are interested in partnering with us.
