As 2025 comes to a close, it’s the perfect time to reflect on a year of incredible growth, innovation, and taste! For Mycosortia, this year has been defined by one mission: turning food side-streams into sustainable, delicious reality.
2025: From Patent to Plate
We kicked off the year by filing a patent for our breakthrough technology—converting soy okara into high-value cocoa powder substitutes. Using our proprietary mixed-culture biotransformation, we’ve successfully expanded our FibProt™ range:
* FibProt-K1: The ultimate chocolate extender. It powered our COU Bites, a high-fiber, no-added-sugar chocolate alternative with 60% less cocoa.
* FibProt-K2: Our soy-free solution, allowing us to formulate the soy- and cocoa-free milk chocolate.
* FibProt-K3: Our latest innovation using okara, leading to the successful launch of COU Dubai Bites and COU Nut Bites.
Market Momentum & Validation
Since our debut at the Singapore Flavor for Tomorrow Festival in April, the response has been overwhelming:
* Sensory Success: In our September assessments, consumers across all ages couldn’t tell the difference between our alternatives and traditional chocolate!
* Commercial Traction: We’ve secured 3 LOIs and conducted 4 pilot projects, and one paid project, gaining invaluable feedback to refine our ingredients.
* Strategic Partnerships: We are thrilled to end the year by confirming a government grant for okara bioconversion in collaboration with the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT).
Looking Ahead: 2026 and Beyond 🌏
2025 saw us generate our first revenues through direct-to-consumer sales. In 2026, we are thinking bigger. Our goal is to scale via B2B2C channels and expand our footprint into international markets, specifically China and Japan.
