šŸ« Elevating Our Brand: IntroducingĀ COUĀ as Our Official Chocolate Alternative Name!

Since the successful launch of our delicious chocolate alternative line, our COU Bites series—including the original COU BitesCOU Dubai Bites, and COU Nut Bites—have been a runaway hit! In particular, our first product, COU Bites. We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive feedback, with many consumers telling us they can’t distinguish them from conventional dark chocolate.

The secret? Our innovative ingredient, FibProt-K1. This proprietary blend, in which soy okara is the major component, successfully replaces a substantial amount of cocoa without sacrificing taste or texture. Best of all, customers cannot taste the okara!


What does COU mean?

We love this story! The name COU is an abbreviation for “Creative Okara Usage,” a brilliant and memorable name coined by students from Singapore Polytechnic during their industry-linked project with us. It perfectly encapsulates our mission to create delicious, sustainable food from underutilized ingredients.

While the COU name has been in our product names, it has not been our official brand name. Up until now, we’ve used our company name, Mycosortia. However, recent customer feedback suggested that the “myco” (fungal) prefix on a chocolate product could be confusing or off-putting.

The Next Chapter: Formalizing the COU Brand

To ensure clarity and capitalize on the fantastic recognition the COU Bites series already has, we are officially formalizing COU as the brand name for our chocolate alternative products!

To mark this exciting transition, we have designed a few new logos that feature “COU.”

They work so well with our packaging.
